Digital Marketing Awards

Reading Room's creativity has again been recognised. Two of our sites - Crimestoppers Most Wanted and Reading Mission, have been short listed for Revolution Awards 2007.

The Revolution Awards - 10 years old in 2007 - reward the best in digital marketing. While levels of innovation and creativity are vital, judges also look at the extent to which projects and campaigns have met client advertisers' objectives. The awards have become the premier annual event for the digital marketing industry and highlight Reading Room's effectiveness in creating excellent digital campaigns for its clients.

The Crimestoppers Most Wanted website allows the charity to rapidly publicise current police appeals across the UK and allows people to contact the police with information securely and anonymously. The campaign has been a major hit with over 200 critical emails being received daily. The police now receive 3 emails to every 1 phone call. The online campaign has received well over 50 million hits and its first year alone has resulted in 24 people arrested and charged.

The Reading Mission campaign was launched to compliment the annual Summer Reading Challenge™ which encourages children aged 8-12 to keep reading during their summer holidays. The spy theme (inspired by the film Stormbreaker™ and Spy Kids™) has attracted 2 million page views with over 9,000 per day. The Reading Mission increased the number of children taking part in the challenge by 319% from 2005 and 415% from 2004 - way over the anticipated 30% rise year on year.

These nominations highlight the extent to which we strive to exceed our client briefs and produce outstanding digital campaigns for them.
