Four Reading Room projects shortlisted for CIPR Excellence Awards
01/05/2007 - London
Digital projects for The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI), The British Heart Foundation, and Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) have been shortlisted in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Excellence Awards 2007 - the most demanding in the public relations profession.
The digital strategies were designed and created by award wining digital communications consultancy Reading Room.
Manchester Metropolitan University 'The Guide' - www.mmu.ac.uk/the-guide - and the CSCI main site - www.csci.org.uk - have both been shortlisted in the 'Website' category. They are recognised for great interaction with stakeholders, whilst successfully reflecting the aims, objectives, and culture of their organisations.
BHF 'Food 4 Thought' - www.bhf.org.uk/food4thought - has been shortlisted in the 'Public Affairs' category which identifies projects designed to inform the public policy agenda. Targeted at 11-12 year olds, the national campaign raises awareness of healthy eating through engaging resources such as 'Urban Energy' and 'Get Real'.
BHF 'Doubt Kills' - www.bhf.org.uk/doubtkills - is supported by the UK Ambulance Association and helps break down life threatening barriers to heart related problems by creatively explaining the dangers of delaying the 999 call for help. The multimedia campaign involved national outdoor advertising, press and TV, and is shortlisted in the 'Integrated Campaigns' category.
The CIPR Excellence Awards 2007 are judged to the highest standards by the industry's leading experts. Professionals from other communication fields also form part of the judging team, giving an external perspective to the Awards. These included Sir Robert Worcester, Chairman, Ipsos MORI, and Martin Brodie MCIPR, Head of International Media, Rolls-Royce Plc.
