Future Talent Wins Big at NMA Effectiveness Awards

06/07/2009 - London

Future Talent, a charity with a staff of just 3, has beaten off competition from the likes of Amnesty International and Cancer Research UK to win a NMA Effectiveness Award! Then again, with a 3,684% increase in unique visitors per month, their Return On Investment is stunning.

Reading Room delivered a visually stunning and downright bold online presence for the musical charity that finds, funds and nurtures musically gifted individuals aged 5 to 18 from deprived backgrounds around the UK. By placing digital at the heart of Future Talent's communications, we've allowed them to forge a dialogue with potential sponsors, grab attention and build brand awareness.

Judges recognised that 'the site demonstrated how, for a low level of investment, objectives can be met with a simple but effective online presence.' The site inspires visitors to get involved, engage with, and support the cause. It can also be managed and updated easily and cost-effectively in-house by the Future Talent team.

With a limited budget and a staff of just three, the new online identity has completely transformed Future Talent and the attention they're receiving. It's part of our philosophy at Reading Room that we apply just as much talent, creativity and excellence to shorter run, lower budget projects, as we do with bigger projects. With Future Talent winning an NMA Effectiveness Award, we've proved that we're definitely true to our word.

Shortlisted alongside four major-name organisations - Amnesty International, Cancer Care, Cancer Research UK and WWF UK (another Reading Room creation) - it's clear that a big budget doesn't necessarily lead you to an award winning website.

Future Talent has seen an astonishingly high level of Return on Investment since launch: A 3,684% increase in the number of unique visitors per month, as well as applications for funding via the website rocketing from 0 over the space of 18 months, to 4 per week!

As with all our clients, we understand that you get noticed through behaving differently, not shouting louder. By completely transforming Future Talent's online identity, we've shown that if you take the right route, even with a small budget, you can have a massive impact.
