Is your mobile phone CHEEKY enough?

The Cheeky Girls make a much-awaited return to the charts this summer with their new song "TEXT ME". Coinciding with their new single is the launch of their new and cheekier website www.cheeky-girls.co.uk. Cheeky fans will soon be able to join the Cheeky mobile fan club (along with motto 'cheek up your phone') where they can download Cheeky Girl ring tones, cheeky photographs and cheeky videos all directly to their mobile phones.

Thanks to the combined forces of digital communications consultancy Reading Room and mobile experts Sparkmobile, The Cheeky Girl's website is becoming a hugely cheekier experience. www.cheeky-girls.com and www.cheekymob.com.

Monica and Gabriella (aka The Cheeky Girls) will now be able to get even closer to their fan base by texting them cheeky tips on subjects such as 'how to flirt' all via the web. Fans can return the favour by texting back photos to the successful sisters showing just how cheeky they can be too.

Monica and Gabriella have got really involved in this project, performing special photo shoots and recording voice-overs for their site. "It's great because it allows our fans to cheek up their phones" commented Monica. Whilst Gabriella mentioned that she loved "hearing people with our ring tones".

What better way to do it than via their website. The complete redesign by Reading Room means that fans can access and view cheeky content more easily.

The interactive site designed by Reading Room allows for more cheeky interaction to occur between fans and stars. For a small fee, visitors to the site can buy a Cheeky Girl ring tone, a Cheeky Girl photograph or video or even a Cheeky Girl tip. The cost is then added to your mobile bill.

With mobile ring tones set to rise on last year's figure of £5 billion, musicians can't really afford to miss out. Mobile solutions via the web (m-commerce) mean new revenue streams for record labels. With CD single sales still in decline, it has been predicted that the ring-tone is set to become the number one marketing tool for record companies and artists to launch the CD album or CD single.

Margaret Manning, CEO of Reading Room ended by commenting on the trend:

"Reading Room is setting a terrific benchmark for web-initiated m-commerce. The Cheeky Girls have a largely teenage fan base that is as likely to buy a ring tone as they are a CD."
