Manning awarded entrepreneur of the year for Europe, Middle East and Asia in New York

Reading Room CEO and Female Entrepreneur of the Year (Fast Growth Business Awards) Margaret Manning has had her entrepreneurial success recognised.

One of only three people to have been nominated in three separate categories at the awards, she was also a finalist for Best Entrepreneur for service businesses up to 2.500 employees, and the Women Helping Women award.

Manning is one of very few female CEOs in the largely male-dominated digital industry, having started Reading Room as a ‘back bedroom genesis’ 12 years ago. Reading Room now employs over 150 people in the UK and Australia, and are an international Top 10 digital agency (Interactive Media Awards) and the highest ranking digital communications agency in the Sunday Times Tech Track for two years running.

Manning comments, “I am really thrilled with the recognition my company and I received at the Stevie Awards. Reading Room has enjoyed phenomenal growth in the last few years, becoming one of the UK’s fastest growing companies. We continue to expand rapidly; just a few months ago we launched a brand new digital performance consultancy, The Distillery.”

Honouring female executives, entrepreneurs and their companies across the world, the Stevies Women in Business Awards are widely regarded as the world’s premier business awards – with over 1,100 successful business women entering this year alone.
Members of the award’s board of distinguished judges and advisors, and their staff, selected the Stevie Award winners, announcing the results at a gala event at the Marriot Marquis Hotel, New York, last Friday.
