Manning Prepares for Shanghai Office Launch

13/04/2012 - London

Margaret Manning will be jetting off to Shanghai next week to discuss how social media has introduced a new source of insight into consumer behaviour at the SES Shanghai 2012 Conference on 17th April, in preparation for the opening of Reading Room’s Shanghai office later in the year.

The two day conference, attended by marketing executives and entrepreneurs from across the globe, is in its 13th year and aims to connect marketers so they can learn and share insights into the emerging online marketing landscape.

The Reading Room CEO will present her thought leadership on the topic, drawing on live case studies including the recent social media campaign Reading Room implemented for the London Business School. Joined by Matt McGowan, Managing Director, North America of Incisive Media, Sam Flemming, Founder of CIC and Louis Ngai, Solution Consulting Lead, Greater China of Adobe, Margaret will be discussing how organisations can proactively manage and monitor consumer-generated content about brands, categories and products, and the strategies you can put in place to ensure you connect honestly with your audience.

Reading Room is renowned for its work in social media, having recently been awarded the ‘Best in Digital and Social Media’ at the PR Week Awards for their work with the RAF Benevolent Fund and the recent launch of the eCRM campaign for Pernod Ricard, Taste the Glenlivet.

It’s an exciting opportunity for Reading Room who will be opening an office in Shanghai later in the year. The digital consultancy has responded to demand from their growing global client base for high level digital consultancy across web, social and mobile channels and aim to grow on the success of last year’s office opening in Singapore.

Manning says: “The rapid expansion of our business into Asia is enabling our global clients to benefit from our depth of international market experience and local delivery. I’m delighted to be able to present Reading Room’s expertise in a region that is bustling with innovative digital ideas and challenges.”
