Reading Room has been shortlisted for the 'VC backed Business of the Year' in a search to find the very best of the UK's best performing and most dynamic mid market companies by the Fast Growth Business Awards - judged by a panel of some of the UK's best-known business leaders.
The company has grown at a phenomenal rate over the past 10 years as staff numbers have grown by 124% from 46 to 103. Its organic growth - due mainly to its strong management team and fundamental business principles of leading thinking and challenging convention - attracted £1million financial backing from Octopus VCT Investments in 2005.
The Fast Growth Business Awards - run by Growing Business magazine in association with T-Mobile - boasts an impressive judging panel of top entrepreneurs and business leaders including Lord Karan Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer and Tim How, chief executive of Majestic Wines.
