Reading Room hits global success with IMAs

03/07/2009 - London

Reading Room has been placed in the Interactive Media Awards' Top Ten Agencies of the Year - one of the most prestigious international recognitions in the digital world, and a massive achievement! Two of our award-winning creations - Worldwide Wildlife Fund UK (WWF) and World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) - were also nominated for places in IMA's Top Ten Websites of the Year.

Reading Room has been recognised for 'consistently representing the highest standards of excllence in web design and development,' and we are one of only two UK agencies in the Top Ten. Over 500 agencies submitted their best work to IMA in 2008; the agencies with the highest scores were selected for the Top Ten. This really is testament to the outstanding level of work and high achievement Reading Room has displayed over the past year.

We created a phenomenally successful digital campaign for WWF, which enabled them to increase fundraising, convey the breadth and depth of their work in a simple and digestible way, and show people how to get involved. WWF UK received 'Best in Class' in the IMA's Animals/Wildlife category, scoring 497/500.

WSPA, who bring together people and organisations from around the world to challenge animal welfare, have twelve international websites and three microsites. We have successfully enabled WSPA to centrally manage a global online presence, whilst remaining regionally flexible. In recognition of our work, WSPA won 'Best in Class' in the IMA's Charity category, scoring 497/500.

Two other Reading Room creations have also won 'Best in Class' at the IMAs recently: The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority's National Curriculum website, scoring 489/500 in the Education category; and the National Archives of Australia: Faces of Australia website, scoring 482/500 in the Reference category.
