Reading Room top digital agency in north-west
Brilliant news for Reading Room's Manchester office as we have been named as the top digital agency in the north-west, according to an extensive survey by the Recommended Agency Registry (RAR) in association with Blue Skies Recruitment . It is such great news for Reading Room because this survey recognises both client satisfaction and business efficiency.
In the lineup of the top 100 marketing services agencies outside London, for which Reading Room qualifies due to our Manchester office, we were ranked ten places above our nearest digital competitor in the north-west. We were also ranked an astonishing third, by growth in profit, out of 100 agencies across all sectors and in all areas.
The award-winning, 30-strong Manchester office has a client list that includes YHA, Glasgow 2014, Manchester City Gallery, Super break and the Countryside Council for Wales. Kirstie Buchanan, marketing manager at Reading Room Manchester, recently became the only female member on the Manchester Digital council.
RAR's survey aimed to identify the top 100 marketing services agencies outside London, including digital agencies, advertising agencies, design consultancies, PR, below-the-line and media buying companies. More than 250 agencies were invited to take part in the survey, and were assessed by asking clients to rate their agencies, and by their business efficiency. Those appearing in the top 100 are both highly rated by their clients and the best performing businesses in terms of turnover, profitability and growth. The business efficiency assessment was made using a Price Waterhouse system based on five different dimensions: turnover, turnover growth, profit, profit growth and turnover per employee.
That we were the top digital agency in the north-west, then, shows that Reading Room are providing an excellent client service while maintaining a robust business model, that saw us ranked third across all categories by gross profit percentage growth.
The survey revealed that digital is growing faster than any other sector in marketing, growing by 29 per cent last year.
The north-west was also the fastest growing region with turnover from companies in that part of the country collectively up by 16 per cent.
It means that we were top-ranked in the fastest-growing sector (digital) in the fastest-growing area (the north-west) in the country outside London.
It has been a fantastic start to 2008 for Reading Room, having also enjoyed our best ever two months of attracting new business in December 2007 and January 2008.
And in 2007, Reading Room was voted Digital Marketing Agency of the Year at the Impact Awards.
Margaret Manning, CEO of Reading Room, said:
'This is fantastic news both for Reading Room in Manchester and the consultancy as a whole. I am enormously proud of the hard work, creativity and overall business performance that has given us this ranking.
'It is also great to see that we are the best-performing company in the fastest growing sector, in the most rapidly expanding region in the country.'
'2008 is already looking like a great year for us with this fantastic result adding to the best two months of attracting new business that the company has ever had.'
