Reading Room shortlisted for more awards

Reading Room are delighted to have been shortlisted for more top industry awards confirming our ability to deliver excellence in effective creativity and user experience.

The British Interactive Media Association Awards 2006 (BIMA) aim to recognise and reward creative excellence in interactive design. The Reading Agency commissioned Reading Room to assist in the online branch of a nationwide initiative, the annual 'Summer Reading Challenge'. A creative multi media enriched environment was designed where Children guide a character through the Flash Animated maze to discover habitats where authors and their works can be explored. The site is recognised for the most outstanding example of interactive design created specifically for children.

The CSCI website is also shortlisted under 'Most Outstanding Achievement in Accessibility' where judges look for examples of wider availability regardless of the interactive channel it was delivered in.

The e-Government National Awards 2006 have become the UK's highest level commendation for the best e-Government services which, through innovative online delivery or IT implementation, have positively transformed the lives of citizens, local communities, business and stakeholder groups. The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) website is shortlisted as too is the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) for its fully accessible, interactive and multi-media website service.
