Reading Room Wins Škoda Online Account
Reading Room has been appointed to create Škoda's new online marketing presence, launching towards the end of 2007.
The consultancy won the account in a competitive pitch against several other online and offline agencies, including the incumbent. According to Škoda, Reading Room was selected for its understanding of the brand, clear strategic thinking and excellent chemistry with the account team.
The online activity will integrate with the recently launched "Manufacturer of Happy Drivers"; proposition through the development of a new Škoda website that will truly allow users to "experience the happiness of Škoda on-line"; and place the Internet at the heart of Škoda's marketing plans. In order to facilitate this painless and joyful online experience, Reading Room will bring to bear all its design and usability expertise together with it's technical capabilities in Content Management System implementation.
The fact that the consultancy could demonstrate an excellent creative approach combined with an in-house ability to deliver the technology involved was a considerable bonus for Škoda, who are keen to enhance their online presence to reflect their transformation to a highly respected brand and build on the success of recent marketing activity.
Margaret Manning, Reading Room CEO:
"Škoda is the latest in a series of high profile commercial business wins for Reading Room. The fact that the Škoda team felt we had the best understanding of their brand and the best people to deliver for them is a pleasing vindication of our approach to any client - understanding and sharing our client's passion and delivering an intelligent digital strategy that communicates that passion to best effect."
