The awards just keep on coming!
26/05/2009 - London
Not only have two fantastic Reading Room creations been shortlisted in this year's New Media Age Effectiveness Awards, but our very own website has won an international Interactive Media Award! We have also been ranked 35th in the Top 50 league table of the fastest growing digital media companies in the whole of Europe, and CEO Margaret Manning has been voted an Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist at this year's National Business Awards.
Since 1997 the NMA Effectiveness Awards have put out the call for the best work in interactive media, delivering the best results and the best return on investment. The 2009 awards have received a huge number of entries, with more than 100 entries from 80 different companies being shortlisted across 26 categories. Our digital work for WWF UK has been shortlisted in the Charity and Voluntary Sector category. We designed a phenomenally appealing site for WWF where the combination of creativity, usability and intelligent Information Architecture takes visitors on a compelling journey to explore, discover and most importantly, take action.
Our work for Future Talent has also been shortlisted in this category. We placed digital at the centre of their communications for 2009 with a stunning new online representation of the musical charity. We have ensured visitors feel excited, informed and encouraged by the work of this small yet sensational charity. The winners are to be announced at the NMA award ceremony on the 25th June at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
As one of the UK's biggest and most experienced digital communications agencies, our website has to be of the highest quality. We love winning awards for our clients, but we are also super proud to have our own website acknowledged for its exceptional design. The Interactive Media Awards recognise the highest standards of excellence in website design and development. Marked around five specific criteria, including feature functionality, usability and design, the Reading Room website has received the 'Best in Class' award for Web design/development.
In addition, GP Bullhound, Europe's leading investment bank in technology and digital media, announced Reading Room in 35th place in the 2009 Media Momentum Top 50 league table of the fastest growing digital media companies in Europe. Despite the down-turn, this year's league table is just one way to demonstrate that the digital industry is still in good health with innovative agencies continuing to show outstanding levels of revenue growth, and Reading Room is no exception.
To top things off, Margaret Manning, CEO of Reading Room, has been named an Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist at this year's National Business Awards regional programme; a fantastic achievement and real testament to Margaret's entrepreneurial attributes. The winner is to be announced on the 14th July at London's Hilton, Park Lane.
