Case studies - Canberra

UNHCR Emergency Response Team

To strengthen the organisations engagement with existing donors and attract broader groups of supporters, Reading Room created an online identity for UNHCR Emergency Response Team that reflects the crisis-orientated, efficient, fast paced, involved nature of their work. Their new digital offering steers users on a journey from interest to action, transforming site visitors into advocates by giving UNHCR the means for a robust, online support community.

Queensland Museum

Queensland Museum cares for more than a million items and specimens in collections that tell the changing story of Queensland. We worked with the museum to give their online identity a brand new creative and consistent look and feel across all their various online portals to strengthen brand identity and promote the museum. We streamlined both the workflow for staff and improved the learning potential for visitors, whilst encouraging the loaning and purchasing of specimens and products to increase revenue.

Australian Museum

Looking to be the first place people visit when exploring the nature and varying cultures of Australia, the Australian museum wanted to attract more visitors to the website and, ultimately, the museum. We completely overhauled their previous site to bring the Museums' wealth of information, activities and resources into the 21st century. Their new online identity attracts a worldwide audience where users are also encouraged to comment and interact, both with each other and the Museum

National Archives of Australia

We handled a consulting project for the NAA, based around the Australia Prime Minister’s website. Our work audited the strengths, content, functionality and management of the site – plus made recommendations for future development of all these elements.

National Museum of Australia

Our brief from the National Museum was to undertake a post-implementation review of its web architecture project – we assessed the achievements against the Museum's vision, the deliverables and the level of satisfaction of the Museum's stakeholders with the outcome.

Australian National Audit Office

ANAO wanted a website that would meet both Australian Government and W3C Accessibility standards, areas where Reading Room has excelled for a long time. The website presents navigation, usability and information structure logically to offer real benefits to the user.

Complementary Healthcare Council

CHC have put the website at the heart of their communications with their member base and stakeholder groups. The site has become a principle reference point with personalisation enabling members to add, update and manage their details online and communicate with peers on industry issues.
