Desktop Support Analyst with solid commercial experience, excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus required to join our award winning Digital Agency with offices in London, Manchester, Canberra, Brisbane and Sydney. There is scope for progression and potential to cross train within the position.
Responsibilities include:
· First line & second line support for internal systems
· Provide technical assistance to other staff e.g. answering queries, trouble-shooting software problems, investigating hardware problems
· Active directory (windows 2008) and email (exchange 2007) management
· Monitoring the daily backups and reporting failures
· Laptop and desktop builds, installation & configuration for both Windows/Mac (mainly windows environment)
· Installation and roll out of companywide/role wide software
· Creation of internal Development, UAT and Live website server environments, with ftp access for live for both Windows IIS and Linux
· Telephone systems management
· MySQL & Microsoft SQL Server database creation
· DNS zone file management, configuring, adding and removing records
· Windows and Linux systems support
· Maintenance tasks on existing systems (both internal and Internet-facing) e.g. Backups, security updates, anti-virus, monitoring logs, problem spotting and resolving)
Requirements:
· Relevant desktop support experience in a busy environment
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Positive attitude
· Team player
· Familiarity with web servers including IIS and Apache
· Microsoft and Linux background highly beneficial
