You will ensure that all work undertaken by Reading Room is on commercially and contractually advantageous terms and that all work under the OGC / Buying Solutions framework is managed in accordance with the framework terms and conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Selection and management of sub-contractors and suppliers
- Review and lead negotiations of terms and conditions of contracts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the correct balance of risk / rewards.
- Close liaison with New Business, Operations and Finance on all opportunities to ensure all commercial issues and risks are identified and managed to ensure good strategy adopted to win bids.
- Ensuring that all work handed over into production is understood for its contractual, technical, people and other risks. You will take action to mitigate these risks both at the start of the project and throughout the project lifecycle.
- Client contact at a senior level throughout the project lifecycle and will be responsible for ensuring that they remain a happy client.
You will have experience and knowledge of:
- Contract management, account management and procurement within public sector and government clients
- OGC / Buying Solutions IT frameworks
- Supplier and sub-contractor management, including selection, review and flow down of terms and conditions
- Risk management
- Negotiating and closing bids and terms and conditions
- Contract law
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally supported with:
- relevant professional / commercial qualification (e.g. MCIPS)
- previous experience with ITIL v3
- project management qualification (e.g. Prince 2).
