Junior Systems Administrator

We are looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to join our London office based in Soho.

We are a full-service digital shop, with more than 150 staff and offices in London, Manchester and Canberra. Our services include web site hosting for clients including Royal Mail, Škoda and Land Securities.

The Role:

Working in a friendly and social environment under the guidance of experienced Systems Administrators you will offer 1st and 2nd line support covering the following tasks:

Laptop and desktop builds, installation & configuration for both win/mac
First line & second line support for internal devices
Installation and roll out of company wide/role wide software
Creation of internal Development, UAT and Live website server
Environments, with ftp access for live for both Windows IIS and Linux
Apache configuration
MySQL& MS-SQL database creation
DNS - zone file management, configuring, adding, removing records, re-directing sites
E-mail account creation, fwd, pointing, re-directing, mailing lists
User account creation/removal
DVD archiving and backup
Telephone system management
Re-cabling of staff areas

The Candidate:

Candidates must have a BSc Computer related degree or equivalent professional qualification and must be able to demonstrate their interest of IT systems and services.

Technical Architect

As technical architect you will need to have:

Experience in leading client technical workshops and specifications for complex projects.
Demonstrated experience in performing complex analysis, consulting and providing technical recommendations.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with systems integration methods and technologies.
Proven track record in driving technical delivery for large complex projects.

The successful candidate will be involved with New Business, where required, to propose and pitch technical solutions. You will also be working with the development team to ensure that large scale solutions meet the necessary strategic targets, and will be required to research new technologies and products into business opportunities.

You will be responsible for the management and delivery of innovative projects, you'll provide strategic advice and act as the key contact to a diverse set of set of clients, from FMCG through lifestyle, to blue chip companies. You'll be fully involved with business development and client relationship building. You'll also head up multi-functional teams, providing project lead for designers and web developers, as well as strategic input on all projects in which you are involved.

With a good bachelors degree, or at least three years experience in a similar role, you'll have experience of implementing technical projects. You'll be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, and have experience and aptitude in building and managing relationships. You also be persuasive and confident in new business pitching. You'll have a good understanding of digital communication and how it can be used to deliver business value.
