Lavendon Group Kentico Case Study

Lavendon Group is the European and Middle East leader in powered access equipment rentals.

It has supported projects involving the Lourve, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and London's Regent Street. With different business units and varying levels of responsibility for content creation and publishing across the group, Reading Room  were appointed to create a new Kentico platform capable of managing six global websites.

Lavendon required an easy-to-use and scalable content management system that could grow with the business and fulfil its long-term requirements.

With depots in Bahrain, Belgium, France, Germany, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UK, and the United Arab Emirates, the new platform would require multi-site and multilingual capabilities that could be managed within one CMS.

We recommended and implemented a powerful, scalable Kentico platform.

This has given the group greater control over how it manages content and disseminates content responsibilities across its multiple business units. Each unit has a different look and feel; plus, a slightly different range of machines that can be hired.

We stripped everything back and supplied a standard set of templates and widgets that suited the needs of all units and can be easily customised based on territory-specific requirements. We simplified user journeys and introduced fully-responsive designs to allow users to search and identify the machines they’re looking for across any device.

The outcome is a much simpler user journey that makes it easier for users to enquire about hiring machines.

"Reading Room stood out during the selection process to find a new agency to redesign and develop our digital presence. They have shown a willingness to provide a flexible approach to some moving goalposts that we have put their way while at the same time maintain a high level of professionalism and quality in their deliverables."
