About the Role

You will work alongside expert Front End & Back End Developers and you will be passionate about your subject. Within 8-12 months you will be architecting and writing new websites, taking part in support and maintenance jobs across existing client sites and work on a variety of exciting and innovative projects.

The Web Development Production team are the creative, technically incredible, and solution-oriented folk who are responsible for establishing the technical foundations that make Reading Room so amazing. The Developers at Fat Media\Reading Room are at the top of their game and continue to impress us with their skills on a daily basis, the sites we build are high-end websites and the quality of the work that we do for our clients is something we are extremely proud of. We want to find passionate graduates who want to deliver to such a level and are striving to become great programmers.

 

Required Skills 

You will have a degree in Computer Science, a related degree, or a real passion for software development. You will be eager to learn and develop the skills you have touched upon at university. If your university course was not focused on web development then you will have been self-learning from a young age and you will have kept up to date with new technologies. Developing will be your hobby.

You may have some work experience in the industry already, but this is not essential. We would also hope you have built websites in your own time or through your university course.

You should understand some of the following:

  • Basic knowledge of ASP.NET
  • Understanding of C# development
  • MS SQL Server or other database engines
  • Understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Understanding of Front End frameworks
  • Understanding of Software Development Methodologies (Agile etc.)
