About the Role
We’re seeking a Technical Operations Engineer who will complement and bolster our current team. As part of your role, you will be expected to work across the multiple disciplinary teams.
You will get to explore new technology and influence our ways of working within our collaborative environment, you will learn from our existing team while also being able to contribute your own ideas to help us progress and innovate.

This is a key hire for our business, and we’re absolutely determined to seek out the very best Technical Operations Engineer to enhance the skills our existing team has.
This position will be to assist the Technical Operations team with hosting operations and related departmental projects. This could entail designing, building, and maintaining hosting environments. The role also requires the successful candidate to participate in an on-call rota and satisfy Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV L2 Full).
Of course, to meet our expectations there are some key elements you must be prepared to evidence to us:
- Multiple years of Linux experience
- Apache / Nginx configuration
- Multiple years of AWS experience
- DNS management experience
- Architecting and building complex enterprise-scale web hosting
- Knowledge of Cloudflare or other CDN providers
- Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
- Drupal / WordPress or other technologies PHP, .NET
- AWS Automation tools
- Database management
- Understanding cybersecurity threats and mitigations
- Liaising with project management teams and clients using a ticket system, emails and phone calls.
- Providing technical support and recommendations.
- Producing documentation for other team members to utilize.
- Monitoring & maintaining systems security, performance, and availability.
- Assisting with the deployment & migration of websites and applications.
