Our focus may now be on the year ahead, but it is both important and valuable to take a look back at some of our biggest achievements in 2017, and thank all those who helped make it such a great year.

In the summer, we climbed eight places to 39th in Econsultancy’s Top 100 Digital Agencies Report - one of the industry’s most well-regarded benchmarking tables. We featured as the UK’s 13th highest-ranked design and build specialist, and rose to number 8 in the Top 75 UK B2B marcomms agencies 2016-17.

We are proud to once again retain our place on the Recommended Agency Register for a further 12 months, an achievement based on positive feedback from our clients about our skills and service.

In May, our bespoke Playmaker platform extended its reach in football with the launches of digital platforms for each Middlesbrough FCSwansea City FC and Stoke City FC.

Other successes in sport include the appointment to develop two new high-profile sporting websites, further expanding our ecommerce experience in this field. We have launched the first website already, with the second scheduled to launch later this year (watch this space!).

We have maximised our Kentico Gold Partner status by becoming one of the first partners to initiate a project on Kentico Clo, whilst also receiving two Site of the Month awards for clients Lavendon and Hydrogen.

We are well-known for our longevity in client relations and retention; 2017 proved to be no exception. In another excellent year, we worked with the teams at SkodaFreeview and Taylor Wimpey, and became the digital partner of the new clients such as Countryside PropertiesUK Coaching and Solent University, to name a few.

Other exciting projects we have launched include those with the National Galleries of IrelandSkoda MobileThe Church of England and PDC. We have also worked with the team at Swansea FC on an innovative Alexa brief.

Our digital marketing team has moved from strength to strength, welcoming new additions and promoting Gavin Burgham to Director of Search and Digital Advertising. The team has worked tirelessly to drive continuous improvements for its clients, with triumphs including a 13% increase in revenue for John Norris compared to December 2016, making 2017 their most successful Christmas to date.

Finally, in November, we were fortunate enough to share a room and table with many of our sporting heroes at the National Football Awards, and walk away with a Bronze award in the Agency of the Year category.

And so, from all at Reading Room, a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to our fantastic 2017. We wish you a happy new year, and here’s to a successful 2018!
