Are you ready for the EU Data Protection Regulation?
The European Parliament, Council and Commission have this week finalised negotiations to enact the European Union (EU) General Data Data Protection Regulation - a single law for all organisations within the EU.
The legislation, which follows changes to UK data compliance laws and is anticipated to come into effect within the next 12-24 months, will mean big changes for marketers, with risks of unlimited fines for offending organisations and compensation claims for individuals.
