The successful candidate will demonstrate passion and commitment to the Open-Source community and is a protagonist for all things Open Source. We have offices in Bristol, and London – where our head office is based, we welcome applicants from any of these areas. The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Mid-Level Drupal Developer who will complement and bolster our current team of talented developers. As part of your role, you will be expected to work within strong technical teams, pick up tickets and own them, work with our Technical Solutions Team, contribute to the project and help flagging issues. And, working with clients you have the ability to get involved and work with clients to gather requirements and refine tickets.

You will get to explore new technology and influence our ways of working within our collaborative environment, you will learn from our existing team while also being able to contribute your own ideas to help us progress and innovate. We’re particularly keen to re-establish links back into the Drupal community and we expect the right candidate to share this passion and enthusiasm too.

We will support you in developing your skills and hope that you will help us develop ours, we are receptive to new solutions and love finding innovative ways of delivering modern software solutions. If you have something to contribute, such as new technology or a streamlined process, we encourage you to explore and share your ideas.

About You (You don’t need to tick all the boxes to be considered, so please do still apply if you have most of what we’re looking for)

This is a key hire for our business, and we’re seeking out the best Mid-Level Drupal Developer to enhance the skills our existing team has.

In recent times, we’ve won several new client projects. Forearmed with a great deal of experience in architecting and shaping solid performant Drupal builds, your role will be integral to one of these projects, owning the solution and delivering an exceptional end-product that we’re all proud to put our names to, and the client is equally delighted with.

There are some key elements we’ll be looking for you to evidence to us:

Required Skills  

  • Multiple years of professional development in Drupal, including:  
  • Custom module development
  • Configuration Management
  • OOP 
  • Working with Git + follow a branching methodology 
  • Using Composer
  • Be able to translate designs into a content model

The following skills and knowledge would be nice to have, but are by no means essential:

  • Apache / Nginx configuration 
  • Knowledge of Cloudflare or other CDN providers 
  • Knowledge of and application to Amazon Web Services (AWS) 
  • Continuous Integration (Bitbucket Pipelines, Github Actions) 
  • Automated Testing (Unit testing, Behat, Cypress)
  • Docker

Location & Travel expectations

We have offices in Bristol and London so welcome applicants from the South West or South East, on a hybrid basis. For the right candidate, we are willing to consider this position on a fully remote basis (UK-based only). Either way, we think it is important to get teams together in person from time to time, so you’ll need to be up for doing this.

What to expect from the interview process: the first stage will be an introductory call for you and us to find out a bit more about each other and consider if it could be the right opportunity for you and your skills; the next stage would be a quick code review, followed by a technical interview with the Hiring Manager; finally, you would meet with the MD and/or Technical Director, and maybe another colleague or team member, which will be a behavioural interview.

We are not working with agencies at this stage.
